When many people think of the Black Widow they assume it is a spider or a murderous woman. This Black Widow is a legendary necklace with a Black Diamond in the center and the source of a family dispute that happened over 100 years ago. When Julia Snowden's mother receive a mysterious package containing the Black Widow she is on the hunt to discover how it disappeared and what happened to Cousin Hugh 40 years ago.
As Julia researches the history of Windsholme and the Black Widow she discovers that she must travel to Boston to meet her relatives and protect her mother's inheritance from not so nice relatives and why Cousin Hugh disappeared 40 years ago.
I will leave out the ending because I think that it is better to be read yourself. I thought this book wall well written and the characters complex enough to keep the story flowing. I loved reading about the history of Windsholme and what Julia learned.
This book is definitely 5 STARS and I recommend the whole series to everyone.
Iced Under is the 5th Book in the Maine Clambake Mystery Series by Barbara Ross. It is well written and it is my favorite book so far.
